Woodland Footpaths

In 2013, we initiated a series of footpath creation and renewal schemes. This started with the creation of a new path from the Highland Council depot at the south end of the village and the viewpoint over the village and bay at Cnoc a’ Bhuthain. Here a picnic table was also located.

The renewed path continues around the hill to Loch a’ Bhadaidh Daraich at the North end of the village, forming a gentle circular route 2.75 miles in length.

Scourie Community Development Company also engineered a partial upgrade to a further path linking to the old peat road. The paths have way markers and provision for a further picnic area.

The restored paths expand the area’s established footpath network and can be found in this downloadable leaflet
